DAY 1 : Coorg
You will arrive at Coorg. The journey from Bangalore to Coorg will take you about 5-6 hours. Located at the southernmost tip of Karnataka, Coorg boasts of having the most striking emerald of landscapes, misty hills, lush green forests and extensive tea and coffee plantations. Coorg is also called the Scotland of India because of its postcard-perfect countryside. After arrival and check in, you will visit Raja’s Seat. This is the place where you will get to witness the most enchanting sunrise and sunset in Coorg. The place is called Raja’s Seat because the Rajas of Coorg used to come to this place to appreciate the panorama. Next to the Raja’s seat, is the Gandhi Mandap, where the mortal remains of Mahatma Gandhi are kept. You will return to your hotel by evening.

DAY 2 : Coorg
If you’ve always been charmed by elephants and have always wanted to experience being near one, then this is your day. Today, you will visit the Dubare Elephant Camp where you can experience what it is like feeding, bathing and riding an Elephant. A trained naturalist takes our will take you through the complexities of elephant history, ecology and biology and guide you, while the child in you interacts with the elephants. Monsoon river rafting in the stretch adjacent to the camp is a viable option during July and August. After this, you will visit the Golden Temple. This temple is built in Tibetan style of architecture and is one of the largest settlements of Tibetan population in India. You will end the day with a visit to Nisargadhama, which is a cluster of islands formed by the river Cauveri. This place offers the perfect setting to unwind and end your day.

DAY 3 : Coorg
Abbey Falls is the prime attraction of Coorg because of its breathtaking waterfall that can be seen from the hanging bridge. A narrow road amidst the green and dense coffee plantations and bushes leads to the Abbey Falls. Soak in the breathtaking awesomeness of this marvellous waterfall and enjoy an out-of-the-world experience. After this, you will visit the Omakareshwara Temple and the Madikeri Fort. Built in 1820, the Omkareshwara Temple. Legend has it that the King put to death a Brahmin to fulfil his political ambitions and the temple dedicated to Lord Shiva was built to appease the spirit of the Brahmin. The Madikeri Fort was initially built of mud fort in 17th century and was later rebuilt in granite by Tipu Sultan. The Madikeri Fort is a unique fort that houses among other structures a temple, an Anglican Church, a prison and a museum. The fort has stood the test of time and is a witness to the history of Coorg.

DAY 4 : Kabini
After lunch, you will take a tour of the Nagarhole National Park in a jeep safari. In the year 1955, Nagarhole was only a sanctuary, covering an area of 258 sq. Kms and was subsequently extended to include the adjoining areas of Mysore district. It is now spread over 643.39 sq. kms and was given the status of a National Park in 1983. Along with the Chital, Sambar, Gaur, Asian Elephant and more, Nagarhole boasts of a large number of predators including the Tiger, Leopard and Wild dog. T his sanctuary is known to have the largest congregation of Asian Elephants in the world, which occur during summer. With over 300 species of birds, this sanctuary is a delight for bird lovers! In the evening, you will return to your lodge and enjoy barbeque and dinner by the campfire at Gol Ghar.

DAY 5 : Kabini
Kabini has a famous namesake river. The hotel jeeps are equipped for a safe wildlife safari experience. You will leave for the safari in the morning. It is suggested to wear clothing whose colours mesh with the environment like browns, greens, grey, and khaki and avoid wearing bright colours. Be ready to spot a bison, elephant, tiger and more, all from the safety of your safari jeep!

DAY 6 : Departure From Bengaluru
After a fantastic countryside and wildlife experience, you will leave for Bengaluru for your homeward journey!
