Day 02: Gujarāta māṭē āpanuṁ svāgata chē
Welcome to the ‘Jewel of Western India’, Gujarat. Check into your hotel at Ahmedabad, Gujarat’s former capital. Post lunch head out to the serene and calm of Sabarmati Ashram, also known as Gandhi Ashram. View rare images, letters, and artefacts and learn about the various methods followed by Mahatma Gandhi. Towards sun set, head downtown to the Akshardham temple, famous for its architecture.

Day 03: Ahmedabad
Begin your day at Hutheesing Jain Temple. Say a small prayer at the 19th century architectural marvel. Head next to the Juma Masjid. This 15th century Indo-Islamic architectural structure will mesmerise you by the sheer number of pillars and supporting structures. After some spiritual healing at the mosque, visit the Calico Museum of Textiles, renowned worldwide for the abundant variety of cloth. This textile industry supports long lost forms of textiles and craftsman.

Day 04: Travel to Rajkot
After breakfast, drive down to Rajkot, the childhood home of Mahatma Gandhi. Spend the evening at your leisure. You could visit the beautiful Jubliee Garden and take a stroll around monuments and installations from the colonial period. Watsons Museum holds historical data and facts from the colonial period. Another interesting place to visit is the Rotary Dolls Museum, with a collection of more than 1400 dolls from around the world.

Day 05: Dwaraka
Head out of Rajkot and roll back time to visit one of ancient India’s most prominent cities, Dwaraka. The city is located at the mouth of the Gulf of Kutch. Dwaraka, also known as the Land of Krishna, is one of the four sacred Hindu pilgrimage sites. Most of ancient Dwaraka is now submerged in the sea. Reach Dwaraka by evening and check into your hotel to rest for the night.

Day 06: Dwarakadish temple to Porbandar
Dwaraka is believed to have existed from proto-historic age. Beyond breakfast, visit the Dwarakadish Temple. The temple was first constructed 2500 years ago and was rebuilt again in the 15th century after suffering considerable damage under the Mughal kings. The temple, said to have been built over the residence of Lord Krishna, is an architectural marvel carved from limestone. Dwaraka is also home to a temple dedicated to Lord Krishna’s wife Rukmini.
After being mesmerised by the energy at Dwaraka, drive down to Porbandar to visit a memorial erected in the name of the Father of India, Mahatma Gandhi. The memorial, Kirti Mandir, also houses the building which is the ancestral home of the Gandhi family,

Day 07: Somnath Temple and Junagadh
Visit the famous temple of Lord Shiva- Somnath. The Somnath temple said to have been first constructed in 512AD, was destroyed and rebuilt several times up to the recent past. The style of architecture is from the Chalukya age. Post lunch drive down to Junagadh, located at the foothills of Mount Girnar bordering the Gir forest.

Day 08: Mount Girnar
Said to be older that the Himalayas itself, the Girnar range is home to a large number of temples and shrines, with a record turnover of more than a million pilgrims on Mahashivratri.
Visit the 12th century temple built in dedication to Neminath. The architectural skill displayed in building these marvels is beyond compare. Also visit the Bavanath temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva and the Amba Matha temple,
